Greensboro Christmas Lights – The Definitive Guide

5 minute read

Regardless if you enjoy the cold weather or not, one thing everyone loves and can’t escape is the infectious holiday spirit this season brings. Whether it’s driving around town admiring the magical Christmas lights, planning the most exquisite dinner, or just wearing your favorite set of Christmas pajamas with loved ones, there are many perks that come with living in a small city like Greensboro. Apart from having such a close knit community, some places in Greensboro make the holiday season feel as wholesome as a cup of hot chocolate.

McLauren Farms

If there’s only a few places you can visit to take in the best this holiday season has to offer, I highly recommend you all make Christmas at McLaurin Farms a priority. It’s not your average drive through light show. From photos with both dear Santa and the mean old Grinch, to an enchanting hayride through a light filled forest, and so many more activities that are sure to bring delight to the entire family. This lovely farm transforms into something straight out of a holiday movie. The cheer and magic felt while strolling through this charming small town gem is guaranteed to make even the Grinchiest of hearts grow three sizes.

Greensboro Science Center

There’s no denying that Christmas decorations are the icing on top of the cake that is a holiday season spent with family and friends, and going out on the town with your loved ones for Christmas lights sightseeing on its own is one of the holiday’s most simple pleasures. If you’re like me and enjoy a little bit of adventure sprinkled into your holiday cheer, Winter Wonderlights at The Greensboro Science Center needs to be on your holiday expedition bucket list. Strolling through the beautifully crafted and strikingly singular sculptured light scenes is an extraordinary experience like no other. While the forest of light and the treehouse lights are a splendid backdrop to a romantic date night, the festive fun zone and dino disco are filled with fun for the children. It’s a superb choice for the whole family. Just be sure to wear your walking shoes, because you’re going to want to tour the magical grounds again and again.

And as always, your Greensboro dental family is here for you should any dental issues come up this season! If I don’t see you in the office, perhaps I’ll see you at one of these magical Christmas light locations!

Happy Holidays,

Dr. McKinlay
